Florida State University Athletics

The Department of athletics of Florida state university is source for NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association). NCAA is a division one program for men and women who is categorized by excellence in sports. Academic achievement and the development of character, maturity and a sense of fair play in athletic programs determine excellence in intercollegiate athletics programs. Athletics department subscribes fully to the philosophy and regulations set forth by the National Collegiate Athletic Association and operates within the fiscal regulations and non-discriminatory procedures established by the Florida State University Board of Trustees and the Florida Legislature. Finally, the decisions and priorities of the Department should always focus on our student-athletes first, as individuals; second, as students; and third, as athletes.

Bobby E. Leach Center

FSU's award-winning student recreational facility features extensive strength and cardiovascular training areas, aerobic classes, basketball and racquetball courts, a 16-lane indoor pool, and an indoor track. The membership is allowed for Faculty/Staff, Alumni, Recent Graduates and Spouses. It provides following services: lockers, towels, massage, wellness center etc. These services are free for the students.

Intramural Sports

Looking for an athletic career at Florida State University then Intramural sports is the best place for this. We have nearly 50 sports and events each year in which you can fight to become an FSU's all campus champion. If your are used to play the traditional sports, then try to an intramural sport team. We set the teams of all different skill levels in various sports. The easiest way to involve in team is on your own. Ask for the group meeting of student organizations such as fraternities and sororities. If you found you are able to form a team then you can register yourself. You can register online on intramural sport site.

Registration is based on first come - first serve bases do register fast. Since you're forming your own teams, you also coordinate your own practices. Get registration periods, team schedules, sport rules, and more. All the athletic information and schedules like registration schedule, sports planner, caption's preseason meeting, free agent meetings, arranging all due fees etc and campus recreation these all things are managed by Intramural sport.

FSU Reservation (Rez)

The Rez is always arranging the adventurous and exciting camps for FSU students. They teach the students about the canoeing, climbing wall, tracking etc. The Rez Adventure Day Camps organized for children between age group of 8-16. Canoeing, sailing, kayaking, outdoor education, arts and crafts, adventure education, and water safety skills are all part of the fun that makes for a great summer experience.

They arrange FSU Reservation Adventure Travel Camp the ultimate outdoor adventure day camp for high school campers For ages 13-16, FSU Reservation Leaders in Training - High school students learn advanced leadership skills in the adventure camp setting For ages 13-16.

FSU Reservation Adventure Day Camp Parent Guide - to give the guidance to parents what their children are going to learn. The climbing wall, spike a volleyball, swim, sun, or sail at the FSU Reservation, FSU's 73-acre lakefront property. The Rez is also home to the FSU Challenge featuring high and low ropes courses and other teambuilding activities.

Outdoor Pursuits

Outdoor Pursuits offers a variety of exciting outdoor opportunities for students and staff. Outdoor Pursuits sponsors day and weekend trips during semesters and rents camping equipment and other gear to students who want to plan their own adventures.

Sport Club

FSU has more than 40 active sport clubs focusing on a variety of athletic and recreational objectives. You can inquire about your practice sessions.
